NorthStar Bridge Academy

About Us

NorthStar Bridge Academy was founded on a simple belief: every student deserves a learning experience that reflects who they are. Our relationship-based, competency-driven approach is designed to support students through individualized pathways that recognize their strengths, address their challenges, and promote meaningful academic and personal growth.

At NorthStar Bridge Academy, learning is guided by trust, collaboration, and shared responsibility. We believe students thrive when they are known, supported, and challenged in ways that are both rigorous and responsive. Our instructional model emphasizes flexible pacing, specialized instruction, development of executive functioning, and mastery-based progress aligned with clearly defined competencies.

Who We Serve

NorthStar Bridge Academy supports students who benefit from individualized academic instruction and a learning environment that addresses their educational, social-emotional, and executive-functioning needs.

The academy works with students with a range of learning profiles, which may include other health impairments, Autism Spectrum Disorder (Level 1), emotional disturbance, traumatic brain injury, speech and language disorders, and specific learning disabilities.

Students may also include those with dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, gifted or twice-exceptional learners, and students whose school attendance or academic progress has been affected by trauma, anxiety, depression, health needs, or reduced academic confidence.

Every student’s situation is considered individually. Admission depends on the student’s needs, the services available, and whether the academy can provide an appropriate educational placement. Families are encouraged to contact the academy to discuss their student’s circumstances and determine whether the program may be a good fit.

Our Mission

Like the North Star we are a symbol of steady guidance and purpose.  Our mission is to illuminate a personalized pathway of mastery for every student through a relationship-based, competency-driven model of education.

Our Vision

We are a school where every student is known, understood, and guided along a distinct pathway toward mastery.

Our vision is a competency-based learning community built on trust, collaboration, and high expectations. In this environment, students progress at a flexible pace based on demonstrated proficiency, with educators serving as mentors and partners in growth.

Through strong relationships, responsive instruction, and strength-based support—including targeted pathways for exceptional and twice-exceptional learners—we prepare students to navigate college, career, and civic life with confidence, competence, and purpose.

Like the North Star, we remain constant in our commitment to individualized growth, equity, and hope.

Our History

NorthStar Bridge Academy emerged in 2026 as non-public private school and we are a NH Department of Education approved special education placement, building on more than fifteen years of related educational services. The organization’s earlier work included individualized academic instruction, coaching, evaluation, consultation, executive-functioning support, and educational planning for students across New Hampshire.

Based in Bedford, the academy works with families, local school districts, private schools, and providers of educational and psychological services.
